It would be so much easier for non Thai people to look for something in CR.
As the foreign community is very limited in this small province of ours.
Have you consider asking webmaster for English translate engine of this webboard?
As this webboard script runs by Simple Machines LLC, i am sure webmaster can put the English converter button in here. Perhaps more convenient if there's translate title next to the Thai one to each sub forum.

Question however can be asked in English. Don't hesitate to post a thread. Many people are willing to help if they can. Is a warm community at least they try to help each other. One way or another things can be sorted out, dont worry about the language barrier.

Your idea is a good one and it would give the local farang population a source for all local news, services and sales.
There is a growing community of farang in Chiang Rai and if we could acess and understand this website it would make our lives much easier.
We have a website, thaivisa.com that does bring farang together but I'm sure that we would all enjoy being part of the Thai community, much more.
Google translation is a great tool but it's still difficult to understand everything and so your suggestion is an excellent one.

Is a shame there is not yet a great tranlation tool on the internet for Thai, as people tend to play with new invented words nowadays. The software cant not follow up. If people were type their formal standard language wil be more understood.

I am aware foreign community is growing and soon many of which wants to interact with local residents aswell getting personal informations.

As i stated English is not my first language since Kham Muang is my first, Thai my second and Dutch as third language follow by English beside that i understand some French and German....i get by thank you very much!

Hi, my wife is from near Phanom Dong Rak in Surin, I think her grandmother was part Cambodian.
Her village and most of the nearby villages speak Suay.
I have heard that Suay is the language used by mahoots to train elephants.
